Delete Your WWWASTE Account
You can request the deletion of your WWWASTE account and the personal data stored with it at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed.
Deletion has two parts. Your account is deactivated immediately, and the personal data that identifies you is erased at the same moment. A few emptied record shells stay behind so the deletion can be evidenced, and records we must keep for tax, accounting, security and dispute purposes stay as history — some of them still show the details they were recorded with.
Request account deletion
Enter the email address your WWWASTE account uses. We send a confirmation link to that address; nothing is deleted until you open it and confirm on that page.
Deleting your account from inside the app
The WWWASTE apps do not delete an account from their settings yet. Until the app supports it, use the request form on this page or email hello@wwwaste.io — neither route needs the app installed, and neither needs your password.
Delete your account without the app
Use the request form on this page. Enter the email address your WWWASTE account uses, confirm that you want the account deleted, and send the request. If that address belongs to an active WWWASTE account, we email a one-time verification link to it. Opening the link changes nothing: it shows a confirmation panel describing what will be deleted, and the deletion runs only when you press the confirm button on it. Because the button sits behind the link, a request submitted for someone else's address cannot delete anything.
If you cannot use the form, email hello@wwwaste.io from the address registered to the account with the subject line "Delete my account". We answer within five business days and confirm once the deletion has run.
You do not need to reinstall the app, remember your password or contact your organization's administrator to use either route.
What we delete
When a verified deletion runs, we erase the personal data that identifies you:
- Your name, email address, phone number and profile photo.
- Your password and PIN, so the credentials can never be used again.
- Your driver profile, including your licence details, licence photo and uploaded documents.
- The content of your push notification tokens and AI support conversations: the token can no longer notify your device and the conversation text is removed.
Your account is deactivated at the same time, so existing sessions and password, PIN or one-time-code logins stop working. Deletion cannot be undone: once your personal data is erased we cannot restore the account or its history for you.
What we retain, and for how long
Waste management is a regulated, audited activity, so some records must survive an account deletion. Deleting your account erases your profile; it does not rewrite a document that has already been issued. Historical business records therefore keep the details they were recorded with — an invoice or a weigh ticket issued to you still shows the name it was issued to, and the following periods apply to them:
- Transaction records — job orders, weigh tickets, invoices, billing history, payments, credit and debit notes, and statements of account — are kept for at least five years to meet tax and accounting obligations.
- Access and audit logs, which record who changed what and when, are kept for twelve months as the evidence base for disputes and security investigations.
- Support correspondence with our team is kept for twenty-four months so a later complaint can be answered.
- Deactivated record shells for your push-notification tokens and AI support conversations are kept without their content. The token is replaced and the conversation emptied, so the shell identifies no one — it exists so the deletion can be evidenced and a retired token is never reused.
- The deletion request itself is kept as a receipt. Once the deletion has run it holds no personal data — the address you typed is replaced by an undeliverable placeholder, and the IP address and any reason you gave are erased. A request that has not been confirmed yet still carries what you typed, because it is the record a review reads.
- Where a law, a regulator or a court requires us to keep a specific record longer, we keep it for that period.
Records that belong to your organization rather than to you — its contracts, invoices and operations — remain with the organization and are not affected by the deletion of your personal account. They keep the details recorded when they were created, which can still name you as the person who handled them.
How long it takes
- Through this page: once you open the emailed link, review the confirmation panel and press the confirm button, the account is deactivated and your personal data erased immediately. The link is valid for 24 hours.
- By email to hello@wwwaste.io: within five business days, and we reply to confirm when it is done.
Whichever address you enter, the form answers the same way. We email the verification link only when the address belongs to an active WWWASTE account, so a submission never reveals whether an account exists — and a request for an address that is not ours changes nothing.
